Turn Your Wildest AI Thought Into Wall Art 

A mobile app is selling physical prints of AI-generated art that is limited only by the user’s imagination.

The new text-to-image service Daydream creates images from any typed description – such as “a couple holding hands and walking in Paris”, or, “a girl in a red dress on her first day in Disneyland, 1987”, or even, “an astronaut golden retriever in a far away galaxy”.

The images are generated in a range of styles, from watercolors and oil paintings, to abstract and line art. The AI processes the user’s request by using huge amounts of captioned image data from all over the internet.

Mixtiles, an Israeli company, now allows users to turn these personalized images into decorative wall tiles.

“Instead of poring over catalogs to find a piece of art that speaks to you, Daydream allows you to literally create a masterpiece in your own words that reflects your thoughts, your dreams, and your emotions,” said Co-founder Eytan Levit.

“Why do people decorate their walls, as they’ve been doing since humans first lived in caves? After helping millions of customers create walls they love, we know the answer is the desire for self-expression.”

The new service is powered by one of the most popular text-to-art image AI generators, DALL-E.

Over four million text-to-art images are generated using DALL-E every day. It was developed by the artificial intelligence company OpenAI, of which Elon Musk is one of the co-founders.
