Tel Aviv-based EV charging and smart energy management software company, Driivz, announced it would be acquired by global industrial technology and mobility solutions company, Vontier Corporation.
Vontier aims to incorporate Driivz’s resources and technical capabilities to expand upon its solutions for electric mobility and overall strategies for sustainable transportation.
“The next decade could bring the most significant changes to global mobility since the invention of the automobile. Clean, efficient fueling technology is no longer optional,” said Mark Morelli, President and CEO of Vontier.
Vontier Corporation is a manufacturing company headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. It owns the brands Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Matco Tools and Teletrac Navman, including subsidiaries Hennessy Industries, Gasboy, and Global Traffic Technologies.
Founded in 2013, Driivz is a leading end-to-end software supplier to electric vehicle operators and major service providers addressing the quintessential needs of the plug-in EV market ecosystem. The company employs a cloud-based platform that covers EV charging operations, optimal energy management, advanced billing capabilities, and driver self-service tools.
Spanning across more than 20 countries, Driivz’s clientele includes major industry players such as Volvo Group, EVgo, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Centrica, ElaadNL, ESB, Mer, and eMobility Power, and is used by nearly one million EV drivers.
“Driivz provides us with market leading technologies within the highest growth, most profitable network management software market segment. We are excited to offer our customers best-in-class software that is hardware agnostic and the ability to continue to own the consumer experience,” added Morelli.
“This acquisition will accelerate our market leadership in EV charging and smart energy management,” said Doron Frenkel, Driivz founder and CEO. “With the most scalable platform, innovative technology and flexible business models, we can drive broader and deeper impact at a global scale.”
Driivz will operate as an independent company and subsidiary of Vontier, and Frenkel will remain as the company’s leading authority figure.
