Israeli cybersecurity solutions platform Check Point Software Technologies has acquired Israeli startup and security tool developer, Spectral, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
The acquisition strengthens its cloud solution, Check Point CloudGuard to make, making it “the industry’s most comprehensive security platform from cloud to code,” Check Point said in the announcement on its website.
Check Point said it aims to address the challenge that developers face when they require the right tools to ensure cloud security is implemented with no compromise on productivity for apps and services.
Spectral’s cybersecurity solution locates and safeguards against harmful security errors and misconfigurations with speed using AI, detectors, and their proprietary hybrid scanning engine to enable developers to code without the stress of exposing companies to high-cost security incidents.
The company was only founded in 2020, but Spectral’s security tools are already currently being used by developers from more than 300 organizations worldwide.
