An Israeli developer of a remote healthcare monitor that helps senior citizens live independently in their own homes is integrating its device with several major North American monitoring service providers.
Essence SmartCare’s Umbrella mPERS device will be used by Affiliated Monitoring, AvantGuard/Armstrong’s Monitoring, and Rapid Response Monitoring.
This integration means mass market expansion for the small device, which is worn around the neck or on the hip and ensures swift responses in case of an emergency.
The platform uses detection devices and smart software to track a senior’s daily activities. It notifies family, caregivers or monitoring centers and offers preventative care and emergency assistance if necessary.
“Boosting Umbrella mPERS’ availability throughout the country is a pivotal step forward in our mission to enhance the safety and independence of everyone in need of an added layer of security,” said Essence USA President Yaniv Amir.
“Together with these esteemed monitoring service providers, we are setting a new standard in PERS technologies, making advanced monitoring solutions accessible in a lightweight, user-friendly device. We are proud to be key drivers in redefining peace of mind technologies,” he said.
“We are glad to support Umbrella mPERS as a new solution in the marketplace,” said AvantGuard Monitoring Centers President Justin Bailey.
“Through this partnership, we are adding new options for senior safety and security providers throughout North America.”
