A startup that developed a platform to predict and detect care events for senior citizens, helping them to remain in their own homes, has raised $31 million in its Series B funding round.
Sensi.AI’s artificial intelligence audio platform can identify more than 100 different insights about seniors living in their own homes, including emergencies such as falls, early signs of pneumonia and cognitive changes.
The Tel Aviv-based startup says it is the world’s first in-home virtual care agent that provides round-the-clock services using audio AI technology.
The round brings the total amount raised by the company to more than $53 million. It was jointly led by Zeev Ventures and Insight Partners, with continued backing from existing investors.
“When our customers say that Sensi is more than just technology, that there is a heart behind it, we know we are on the right path. We are dedicated to ensuring every senior can age with dignity in the comfort of their own home, the place they love most,” said Sensi co-founder and CEO Romi Gubes.
“This funding from renowned investors will help us continue to innovate our product and scale our go-to-market strategy, bringing our vision to life,” she said.
“When I came across Sensi, I immediately recognized the magnitude of the problem they were solving. It requires more than simply applying AI technology,” said Oren Zeev, the founding partner at Zeev Ventures.
“I am confident that Sensi’s advanced audio AI technology along with their talented team will spearhead a transformation in the care ecosystem unlike anything seen before.”
