A leading Israeli company in Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) technology has announced an expansion of its US presence due to growing demand.
D-Fend Solutions, which develops counter-drone takeover technology, has appointed a VP for US sales and development and a business development manager as part of expansion plans centered on its office in Virginia.
The company’s solution can detect, locate and identify drones, and neutralize any threat by using radio frequencies (RF) to take control over the craft and land it safely in a predetermined area.
It focuses on drone threats to sensitive locations such as military, airports, and prison sites as well as major events and critical infrastructure.
The tech does not require line-of-sight and does not need to jam transmissions to take over the drone.
The accompanying web-based app provides real-time monitoring. And if deemed a threat, the app operator can easily take control of a drone being monitored.
“The extensive leadership and proven on-the-ground experience of our new hires will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand our presence in the US market and focus on providing our partners with the most trustworthy technology for their counter-drone challenges,” said Danny Rajan, D-Fend’s US general manager.
D-Fend’s systems have been installed worldwide by militaries, law enforcement and homeland security agencies, and even major international airports.
