Israel Aerospace Industries, one of the country’s leading aerospace and defense manufacturers, has inaugurated its first visitors center in the US, in what the state-owned company says is a display of its commitment to its American clients and partners.
The Washington-based center is aimed at strengthening the company’s ties to its local partners, including business owners, government officials and members of the US military. This gives the partners more convenient access to IAI’s innovative products, including those incorporating virtual reality.
IAI’s developments include the Arrow air defense system and radar for the Iron Dome, both of which played a key role in eradicating the massive missile attack on Israel from Iran last month.
The inauguration was hosted by Amir Geva, IAI’s Executive VP for North America, and attended by Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Herzog, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan and IDF Defense Attaché to the US Gen. Hedi Zilberman.
“The opening of an innovative visitor center in Washington DC, reflects the company’s strategy, namely, to work to deepen business and technological activities with our partners in the US,” said Geva.
“These ventures demonstrate a combination of the IAI’s rich history with the American defense market alongside joint future initiatives, and their launch is a proactive step to strengthen IAI’s business activities in the United States.”
In January, IAI opened an innovation center in Virginia, also with the aim of expanding its business activities and presence within the US.
