A delegation of 10 Israeli foodtech companies this week visited London on a mission organized by the Israeli Export Institute, the Israeli Embassy in London; the British Embassy in Israel; and the Good Food Institute – an international nonprofit promoting plant-based alternatives to meet.
The companies’ representatives met with leading British retailers in London, presenting their technologies and providing a tasting of their products.
The group of Israelis also met with British investors in the foodtech field as well as chefs, bloggers and industry stakeholders.
The 10 Israeli companies involved in the trip are:
Anina, which makes edible food containers from dehydrated and wasted vegetables;
Supree, which has produced a strain of tomato that dries itself on the vine as it grows;
Yofix Probiotics, which creates alternatives to dairy with unique zero-waste technology;
Melt & Jet, whose innovative technology combines freeze-dried fruits and vegetables with dietary supplements;

SubscribeJOMO Chocolate, which makes sugar-free and dairy-free chocolate products using its own SugarNESS sweetening solution;
Alfred’s Food Tech, which makes a range of very high-quality plant-based products, with focus on hard cheese and cold cuts;
Torr Foodtech, whose iWeld technology eliminates the use of added sugar, artificial sweeteners or dates to sweet and savory snacks;
GreenOnyx, which develops growing units for the cultivation of water lentils, a highly versatile superfood;
Capsoil, which uses unique nanotechnology to create nanometric powder from oil;
and
Aleph Farms, grow proteins from cell cultures rather than harvesting directly from animals
