Leading Israeli crop protection company Adama has launched five new cereal fungicides for farmers across Europe, helping to protect crops like wheat, barley, oats, rice, and corn from harmful fungi.
All five new products are based on DMI, a class of chemical fungicides that can control fungal diseases that cause lesions on leaves.
They are designed to deter serious afflictions such as mildew and smut at all stages of a plant’s life cycle, enhancing activity and improving systemic movement in the leaf tissue, creating long-lasting disease control.
Adama, which is headquartered near Tel Aviv and also has offices in Beijing, also released its new Asorbital technology, which boosts the activity of its products, including their penetration of and movement in leaf tissue.
“Our new, enhanced cereal fungicide portfolio is a powerful demonstration of our ability to deliver value and innovation through enhancing the performance of existing molecules with proprietary formulation technologies and delivering products to our customers that provide excellent disease control, keep the crop safe and address the different value segments in the market,” said Alex Mills, head of global fungicides at Adama.
“A one-size fits all approach doesn’t work. That’s why we created a fit-for-purpose portfolio, to answer the different customer pain points – whether it’s the type of disease they are facing or the timing of the control they need.”
