Israeli company Biobeat will be integrating its wearable devices for remote patient monitoring into the Current Health home care platform offered by Best Buy Health in the US.
The wearable wrist and chest devices offer continuous monitoring of 13 parameters, including blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, pulse rate and respiratory rate. The AI-based platform also includes an automated system to alert staff of any potential issues with a patient’s health.
The data gathered by the devices is delivered via cloud technology to the medical staff at Current Health who are responsible for managing the home care of patients with a range of requirements.
Biobeat, which is headquartered in Petah Tikva, has both FDA approval in the US and CE certification in Europe for its two devices.
“Current Health enables healthcare organizations to personalize the delivery of healthcare at home solutions, and we are thrilled that Biobeat’s wearables will be integrated as a technology solution that is available for remote patient monitoring,” said Biobeat co-founder and CEO Arik Ben Ishay.
“This milestone will further strengthen Biobeat’s footprint with healthcare providers throughout the United States and will provide clinicians with the ability to monitor patient vital signs of patients outside of the clinical care setting,” he said.
“Technology is a crucial component of delivering care to patients and improving their experiences and outcomes,” said Current Health CEO Chris McGhee.
“We are excited to continuously improve our remote patient monitoring offering to make receiving care in the home a simplified experience for patients and providers.”
