A new mobile app is letting users create videos of digital people using just a single image and an accompanying script.
The Creative Reality Studio, a web platform that can generate videos with a cast of photorealistic avatars in 120 languages and in 270 voices, has been launched by Israeli startup D-ID as an app.
The avatars, each of which was created from a five-minute video session with a real person, can even speak in a range of accents and presentation styles, from angry or cheerful, to sad or hopeful.
Users can easily upload images from their phone’s photo gallery, as well as write or import avatar scripts to the app. The resulting videos can then be directly downloaded to their mobile devices.
The desktop version of Creative Reality Studio has generated more than 150 million videos. The startup anticipates that the sign-up rate will double with the mobile app’s availability.
“D-ID is revolutionizing content creation by making it accessible in the palm of your hand,” said Gil Perry, CEO and co-founder of D-ID.
“The new mobile app not only opens up our powerful technology to hundreds of millions of new users but will also seamlessly integrate digital people into daily social media, messaging apps, and emails.”
