An Israeli startup that uses artificial intelligence to autonomously scan vehicles for damages has expanded its operations to South Africa.
Ravin AI will be entering the South African market via its partnership with local business Alder Grove Automotive, which is one of the country’s fastest-growing fleet management companies.
Ravin works with car importers at points of entry in order to assess any damage to fleets of vehicles brought into the country.
The platform uses cameras and AI to accurately assess the condition of vehicles within seconds. Its program also allows companies to ascertain when specific damage occurred and who was driving at the time.
“We are excited to be partnering with Ravin on their entrance into the South African market,” said Alder Grove Automotive MD Vernen Pillay.
“Ravin’s technology has so much potential for the market, even beyond fleet management which itself is very important… and we aim to assist in maximizing its usage here in South Africa.”
The startup is already operating in Israel, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
“Ravin is thrilled to be entering a new market full of potential and to be partnering with Alder Grove Automotive,” said Eliron Ekstein, co-founder and CEO at Ravin AI.
“We look forward to working closely with Alder Grove Automotive to improve the experience for its customers across South Africa.”
