An Israeli startup has developed a way for users to enjoy mobile games without even touching their phone screens.
The Mudra Band – an AI-powered wristband that was created by Wearable Devices – can be paired to any device via Bluetooth, and let users experience mobile gaming with finger and hand gestures alone. It can even detect the different amount of force exerted when pressing their fingertips together.
The company announced the successful completion of the product today. It says that these capabilities will enhance the gaming experience and create new possibilities for gameplay.
The Mudra Band already supports touchless operations and control of the iPhone and additional Apple devices. It uses a combination of unique sensors and artificial intelligence to make this possible.
“With mobile games accounting for approximately 50 percent of global game revenues in 2022, this market represents a significant opportunity for our technology, and we’re excited to deliver a gesture-based user experience that was previously available only for stationary gaming consoles,” said Mr. Offir Remez, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Wearable Devices.
“We believe a major part of the gaming experience is lost due to the limitations of the touchscreen, and adding gesture-based interactions to mobile games will bring more excitement, fun and joy to gameplay.”
