A new, electronic tampon-like product that is capable of ridding women of yeast infections – which causes suffering for 75 percent of women worldwide.
It uses a combination of ‘blue-light’ technology and FDA-approved medicine to eliminate the fungus.
Zero Candida, the company behind the product, successfully eliminated 99.9999 percent of the fungus in laboratory conditions and within a very short time.
Yeast infections attack large parts of the female productive system. They will affect thee quarters of women at some point in their life, and can harm their fertility.
An estimated 138 million women worldwide suffer from recurrent infections, even after taking medication, characterized by a burning or itching sensation.
The new treatment is currently undergoing pre-clinical research trials and the patent approval process.

The successful experiment will beneficially affect the lives of billions of women in the world,” said Prof. Ehud Davidson, former CEO of Clalit, the largest health provider in Israel, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zero Candida.
The Tel Aviv-based startup is also developing sensor technology that will provide hybrid medicine services for gynecologists in developing countries so they can diagnose remotely.
