Sports publishing platform Minute Media, announced on Wednesday that it raised $40 million in a funding round led by Dawn Capital, with participation from existing investors.
Founded in 2011 by Asaf Peled, Gilad Beiman, and Yuval Larom, Minute Media is a global digital media publishing company focused on content and advertising solutions. It owns seven digital media publications such as The Players’ Tribune, 90min, 12up, DBLTAP, Mental Floss, The Big Lead and FanSided.
Minute Media has raised $160 million in total funding to date.
The company says the new funds will be used to support global expansion and enhancements to its tech publishing platform, further invest in the recently acquired The Players’ Tribune athlete-focused content, and prepare for future acquisitions.
