Cannibble FoodTech Ltd., the Israel-based food-tech developer of cannabis-based edibles, announced the official launch of its “The Pelicann” brand in the US late last week. The products will be manufactured in the US, which Cannibble says it is targeting as the biggest cannabis market worldwide.
Founded in 2018 by CEO Yoav Bar Joseph, CTO Elad Barkan, CFO Asaf Porat and VP of Business Development Ziv Turner, Cannibble is creating over 100 powder-based instant mixes for baking, beverages and spices enhanced with cannabinoids and hemp products. These can be used to make quick-mix shakes, pancakes, popcorn butter, falafel, iced and hot drinks, toppings and so on.
The Pelicann products are offered in three “families of cannabis,” Cannibble says. They are easy to spot by unique colors: green for products carrying different types of cannabis ingredients from hemp seeds, hemp seeds oils and hemp protein; pink for products with full-spectrum CBD to isolated CBD; and dark blue for THC-infused products.
Cannibble says its products are manufactured under a strict food manufacturing QA protocols “and with a known, tested and fixed cannabinoids dosage.”
“We have invested almost two years of substantial R&D and we are bringing to the market completely, unseen before and non-existent today, new lines of Cannabinoids infused powder-mix based edibles and beverages, which are tasty and fun for all food lovers,” Barkan said in a statement.
Cannibble says the products are proposed for personal use with ‘single-serve’ packages at kiosks and convenience stores and is looking for additional Point-of-Sales at convenience stores, coffee bars, and dispensaries.
