Israeli cybersecurity startup PerimeterX, which specializes in thwarting automated attacks, announced this week the completion of a $43 million Series C funding round to expand its services and break into new markets.
The round was led by Scale Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Canaan Partners, Vertex Ventures and Data Collective (DCVC), and new investor Adams Street Partners.
PerimeterX, founded in 2014 by Omri Illuz, CEO, Ido Safruti, CTO, and Ophir Ashkenazi, its VP if R&D, develops security solutions to protect websites and apps from automated bot attacks through predictive security intelligence with reinforcement learning techniques.
The company said in a statement that the funds will allow PerimeterX to expand its platform “beyond bot protection to broader and complementary products protecting from other cloud security threats, as well as expansion into new verticals and new markets.”
PerimeterX says its customers include companies in the Fortune 500, the Alexa Top 1000 and the Internet Retailer 100 lists, across industries including travel, finance, e-commerce, media, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
