Cloud Cybersecurity Startup Coronet Partners With Dropbox For Data Protection

Israeli cloud security startup Coronet announced that it has entered an agreement to partner with Dropbox to bring its innovative data breach protection platform to the US-based company’s millions of users, Reuters reported. Coronet’s platform will be integrated into Dropbox’s own security features, and will be available by the end of the year.

Coronet targets small- and medium-sized businesses, and says this particular market is under-served when it comes to data security.

“We believe this market is underprotected because it can’t afford enterprise-grade security and even if it could, it can’t manage it because it’s complex,” co-founder and Chief Information Security Officer Dror Liwer told Reuters.

The partnership, he says, will “probably bring millions of new customers for the company.” Users will pay an additional $2.00 a month to get Coronet’s offering, Liwer said.

Coronet was founded in 2013 and has offices in Tel Aviv, New York, and Berlin.
