Israel cybersecurity company ITsMine, a portfolio company of the OurCrowd Labs/02 seed-stage incubator in Jerusalem, has been named one of the top ten most innovative cybersecurity startups at China’s 2018 ISC Conference, Asia’s largest cybersecurity confab. The Herzliya-based company, focused on identifying and protecting organizations from internal and external cyber attacks, has a “new approach to data protection” and the “first fully automated DLP solution,” a statement from OurCrowd says. It was the only company selected outside of Asia.
Since its first event in 2013, ISC (Internet Security Conference) has evolved to be the largest scale security gala in the Asia-Pacific region.
“China’s cybersecurity market is growing very fast – more than thirty-percent in 2017. This growth has led to an increase of investments in R&D by large companies, as well as increased investments in startups. It is a great honor to participate in the largest cyber event in Asia, and to be chosen for this prestigious award,” ITsMine CEO Kfir Kimhi said.
Kimhi, who was asked to give the 2018 ISC keynote speech, warned the audience that their networks are under attack from the inside and explained what red flags companies should look out for to protect their data.
ITsMine is part of OurCrowd’s Labs/02, the seed-stage incubator focused on deep technology in fields such as artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles. Labs/02 is a partnership between OurCrowd, Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI), Reliance Industries (NSE: Reliance) and Yissum (the Technology Transfer Company of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem), and is part of the famous Israeli incubator program administered by the Israel Innovation Authority.
