July 8, 2018 | Israeli real estate data and insights startup Localize.city announced last week they will partner with real estate companies and brokerage firms in New York City, to help the home buyers and renters that visit those sites get a better understanding of the home listings. The startup will do this by integrating their Israeli-developed tech into the websites of companies like marketing and leasing management solution Nestio and real estate listings platform RealityMX, through Localize.city’s “Insight Engine.” Other launch partners include NY real estate agency LG Fairmont, real estate firm Oxford Property Group, and real estate listings company Igluu.
The company, which uses its tech to gather information about New York City homes through AI and machine learning algorithms, completed an $8 million funding round in May to finance its expansion, with a current focus on New York City, as it is one of the largest global residential real estate markets with approximately 80,000 deals annually valued at $80 billion.
“Until now, New Yorkers got 20 – 30 minutes in an apartment before being asked to spend $1,000,000+ without knowing anything about the livability of the area. The real estate industry is upending this equation by choosing Localize.city to be the source of unparalleled knowledge and transparency for their clients,” Steven Kalifowitz, president of Localize.city said in a statement. For example, the engine can tell clients if the house is in a good school district, number of dog parks in the area and so on.
Localize.city is a growing company with presently having 110 employees; 90 at its R&D center in Tel Aviv and 20 at its New York City offices.
