June 19, 2018 | Energyvest, the global investors event held prior to the Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition which includes a startup competition, is looking for Israel-based energy and cleantech startups that have raised up to $5 million to present their startups and technologies to investors and potential strategic partners in the global energy community as part of the contest. The startup should have a product or technology in one of the following fields: energy efficiency; renewable energy; chemicals and advanced materials; green building energy distribution and storage; transportation; smart grid; CO2 reduction; and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT.) The winner will join a unique business opportunity organized by the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Export Institute. Startups can apply here with applications due by July 30. The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition is a bi-annual event which is considered the leading renewable energy event in Israel and attracts industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and international policy makers from around the world interested in cleantech and energy independence. This year’s conference, taking place in December, will dedicated a full track to bringing Israeli innovation to off grid communities in Africa and other markets and plans to launch the Eilat-Eilot East Africa Off Grid Technologies Hub to bridge the two regions. There will also be a track related to innovation in the field of smart grid and energy storage. The conference is part of the Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative, promoting renewable energy as a catalyst for regional development of the Arava region in southern Israel.
