March 27, 2018 | Israeli-Cypriot businessman Teddy Sagi, founder of gambling software company Playtech, and owner of London’s Camden Market, will invest $3 million in energy management startup SmartGreen, Globes reports. The investment comes just as the system was installed in some properties of the Teddy Sagi Group, including Camden Market. SmartGreen’s CEO Nati Freiberg says Sagi’s investment will help the company grow in the international market and that “the potential is huge.” Founded in 2014, SmartGreen has developed an advanced energy management, monitoring, and optimization system using cutting-edge technology. The Rehovot-based company already has some large companies utilizing its technology including McDonald’s Israel, Electra, the electric company in Hong Kong, HP, and Israel’s largest supermarket chain Shufersal.
