Israeli app BreezoMeter, which tracks air quality and pollution through data all over the world, announced last week it had closed a Series B funding round at $7.75 million. The round was led by London’s Goldacre Ventures and Israel’s Entree Capital. Firms like Idinvest Partners, Hella Ventures, Axess Ventures and Plug and Play also participated in the round. BreezoMeter’s total funding to date is at $12.5 million
When it was founded in 2014, BreezoMeter was the first company to introduce location-based, real-time air quality data available to businesses via API. The Haifa-based company claims its data and analytics platform, which uses local air monitor sensors to gather real-time data, is 99 percent accurate. It has used this accuracy to win major partnerships and garner major clients like household appliances manufacturer Dyson and US tech conglomerate Cisco.
