July 17, 2018 | Israeli 3D content capture and share tech firm Mantis Vision announced Monday it has raised $55 million in a Series D funding round led by Chinese investment firm Luenmei Quantum and Samsung Catalyst Fund. The firm has raised a total of at least $83 million to date.
The Petah Tikva 3D company will also form a joint venture with Luenmei Quantum called MantisVision Technologies in order to help its growth in the Chinese market.
The company says its funds will be used to develop its tech and accelerate its marketing strategy as well as help its international expansion.
Mantis Vision said its advanced 3D content capture and sharing tech can be used in a variety of applications including 3D cameras for smartphones, and 3D scanners.
The company is expected to add 140 employees to its workforce by the end of 2020.
