May 17, 2015 | Germany will donate 2.5 million euros ($2.8 million) over a period of ten years towards the preservation of Tel Aviv’s “White City”. The donation marks the 50th anniversary of Israeli-German relations and the funds donated will preserve the largest collection of Bauhaus-style architecture in the world. The funds will go towards preserving at least 2000 of the 4000 Bauhaus structures in Tel Aviv, as well as towards the construction of a preservation center in the Max Liebling House.
