Israeli company Epsilor, an internationally respected producer of military-grade batteries and chargers, has announced the launch of its new cutting-edge Military High Voltage Battery System, which is based on its NATO standard 6T batteries.
The new system will be presented this week at the Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering & Technology Symposium (GVSETS) in Michigan.
The company says its new product addresses a growing demand for power in military bases, deployable defense systems, and hybrid and all-electric defense vehicles.
Epsilor will also unveil its new NATO standard 6T battery for defense vehicles, dubbed COMBATT ELI-52526-GM, at the event. The battery is currently undergoing US Army standardization tests.
Created more than 40 years ago, Epsilor manufactures custom-made and standard batteries, chargers and mobile power systems for a range of industries, including defense, aerospace, medical and marine.
The company has production facilities in both Israel (Beit Shemesh and Dimona) and the US, from which it has manufactured millions of batteries and chargers to scores of customers around the world.
“Our new 6T products have overcome significant challenges,” said Epsilor President and GM Ronen Badichi.
“We’ve tackled safety concerns typical to Li-Ion batteries with a robust mechanical solution and filled the void of standard high-voltage batteries for defense applications. By integrating standard 6T batteries into a high-voltage solution, we provide our customers with air-transportable, certified, and versatile energy storage systems.”
