Israeli charity Yad Sarah, which provides free medical equipment for the home, has acquired a new hospital van for its existing fleet.
This will facilitate more outpatient recuperation, in particular for wounded soldiers, and ease the burden on the country’s strained healthcare system in wartime.
Yad Sarah is Israel’s leading volunteer-staffed organization, delivering home hospitalization units such as hospital beds, wheelchairs and oxygen tanks.
The van was purchased using funds from Daily Giving, a non-profit organization that raises and distributes charitable donations to Jewish charities around the world.
“Yad Sarah is deeply committed to providing compassionate care to the people of Israel – a need that has grown significantly since October 7,” said Adele Golberg, the executive director of Friends of Yad Sarah.
“The organization’s home hospital vans are a large part of this mission, and we are grateful for Daily Giving’s support in helping us reach significantly more individuals, communities, and families in need,” she said.
