Many known drugs have serious side effects, which cause inflammatory and allergic reactions in patients. A researcher from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem has developed a synthetic family of drugs which are highly efficient, yet have no known side effects.

Researchers from various fields at the Weizmann Institute in Israel have joined forces to create a model that can explain "medical mysteries" related to side-effects of chemotherapy. This understanding of the causes of infections can lead to a more individual approach to cancer treatment.
