An Israeli mobile security startup is partnering with the U.S.-based Microsoft Azure DevOps to advance its Cyber Defense Automation Platform, which allows mobile app developers to rapidly detect potential cybersecurity threats and build secure Android and iOS applications.
Appdome provides an AI-powered mobile security platform for app developers, named the Cyber Defense Automation Platform. Developers can use the platform to build, test, and monitor mobile app security against attacks from malware, fraud and bots.
Azure DevOps – a Microsoft platform that provides developers with services and tools to manage their software projects – is now part of the Appdome Dev2Cyber Agility Partner Initiative, which was announced in February 2023.
“Azure Pipelines is a key development platform for mobile apps, and developers using it need to be able to build security protections into these apps rapidly from within the platform,” said Karen Hsu, SVP of Mobile DevOps and Security Solutions.
The purpose of the initiative is to integrate Appdome’s platform with companies globally. Azure DevOps users can now access the Cyber Defense Automation Platform from the Azure platform and build any of Appdome’s cybersecurity detection features into their software applications.
Appdome’s recent Global Consumer Expectations of Mobile App Security survey indicated that 68% of global consumers would abandon brands that showed no protection against security risks. The company was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Tel Aviv.
“Our recent global survey shows that consumers’ preferred way to interact with brands is mobile, which increases the urgency for development teams to create and update apps frequently to remain competitive,” said Tom Tovar, co-creator and CEO of Appdome.
“Development teams need a cyber defense solution for mobile app development that takes advantage of and integrates with mobile development best practices and tooling.”
