October 25, 2017 | Israeli-founded cybersecurity company Skybox Security has raised $150 million in a round led by Luxembourg private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, who invested $100 million. London’s Pantheon Ventures invested $50 million. Skybox’s equity funding is now at a total of $288 million. In 2016, Rhode Island-based Providence Equity Partners invested $96 million into the San Jose-headquarted, taking a 75% stake in the company. Now Providence owns a bit more than 50%, according to Skybox CEO Gidi Cohen. Skybox Security was founded in Israel in 2002 by Gidi Cohen and Eran Reshef. It is a worldwide leader in security analytics for cybersecurity management.
